There are various types of companies in the Turkish Commercial Code. Which type of company the foreigner will establish, the establishment conditions and principles should be determined accordingly. It is not possible to establish a company other than the following types of companies in Turkey.
Types of companies in Turkish law
Individual Companies: General partnership, commandite company, Ordinary partnership, Cooperative companies
Capital Companies: Joint stock company, limited company and limited partnership in which the capital is divided into shares.
Partnerships established on a contractual basis under names such as ordinary partnership, consortium, joint venture and which do not have the specific characteristics of companies regulated in the Turkish Commercial Code are considered ordinary partnership in terms of the application of the Law.
It is possible to establish a joint stock company and limited liability company with a single person in Turkey.
